If you all didn’t hang out here, I would be writing to thin air. Which is basically just like talking to myself. And really, what’s the fun in that?
All that to say, I’m super thankful for you. And that’s exactly why I’m giving away All This Awesome Stuff. I gave you a heads-up about this last week, and today is the real deal. Make sure to read to the end, so you know how it works.
Introducing the FIRST EVER GIVEAWAY OF AWESOME STUFF…
(You should know that I feel sort of like The Price Is Right right now. I just need Rod Roddy to give fabulous descriptions of these prizes.) (Except none of these are a NEW CAR.) (Sorry about that.)
AWESOME STUFF #1: There’s a Green Plastic Monkey in My Purse (and other ways motherhood changes us), a book by Jessie Clemence. I can’t even remember how I first found Jessie’s Blog, but it was probably one day when my Google search terms were something like “blogger who loves Jesus and is a little sarcastic sometimes”.
If you’ve ever considered contacting someone you admire to tell them how cool they are, but after further reflection you realized that might seem a little wacko…well,I followed through with that wacko, and accosted Jessie in a private Facebook message. #ShiningMoment
And here we are months later, and she has generously provided two SIGNED COPIES of her two books for this giveaway because she’s cool like that. Which leads me to…
AWESOME STUFF #2: If I Plug My Ears, God Can’t Tell Me What To Do, by Jessie Clemence
From the book: “When God calls us to do hard things, our natural response often goes something like this: “Dear Lord, please note that I am not interested in doing these things because they are hard and uncomfortable. Also, the pay is atrocious and people will think I’m a wacko. Amen.”
If you’re like me and you sometimes do this sing-song response to God where you plug your ears and be all like “I can’t hear you…”, then this book will be a good friend. P.S. If you don’t win this book…you can buy it HERE on Amazon (for Kindle or Paperback) because it’s worth it.
AWESOME STUFF #3: Key Necklace by Naptime Design
I was in North Carolina on the day that a pajama-clad mom jumped out of the morning-rush carpool line and rescued an escape artist dog named Ruby. The rockstar in the pj’s was Allison Cunningham, and we became like insta-friends.
Allison is all creative like, and makes these fantastic necklaces out of old keys. (Check her out on Naptime Design‘s Facebook page.) It made my day that she eagerly donated this masterpiece for our giveaway.
AWESOME STUFF #4: Infinity Scarf
AND…if she ever wanted to be like an old Pantene commercial, Allison could basically say to me, “Don’t Hate Me Because I Can Sew”. Because y’all, anyone who can sew is my hero. And these infinity scarves make me love her even more. (You’re really supposed to love the person not the product, and I do. But still.)
And finally, a sneak peak of my Big News: The Bleachers & the Pew brand new ETSY SHOP will open on July 14th.
More info on this later this week. For now, here’s two of my Best Favorite products:
Awesome Stuff #5: Sparrow T-shirt
You are God’s one-of-a-kind artwork, and He loves you more than you can fathom. You are worth more to him than many sparrows. (Just like Jesus said in Matthew 10:31.) I designed these t-shirts with you in mind. Your monogram on the front represents that God created you with an individual awesomeness.
The sparrow is a reminder of your incomparable value; and worth more than many sparrows is written across the back of the shirt.
Awesome Stuff #6: One-of-a-Kind Awesome T-shirt
You are rare, and valuable, and very important. The monogram on the front of this t-shirt is a reminder to you that you were God’s idea, and He shaped you in a one-of-a-kind way, with an awesome purpose.
Being confident in that, you don’t have to look around you to see how you measure up to others. Because one-of-a-kind looks awesome on you.
